Misfit Inc., the wearable technology maker that was recently acquired by Fossil, announced its latest activity tracker at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Called the Misfit Ray, the fitness tracker and sleep monitor features a sleek and stylish design in the form of a cylindrical aluminum body that is 12 mm in diameter and 38 mm long, just under a half-inch by 1 and one-half inches. On each side of the cylinder are clips, which attach to either the leather band that is included, as well as other Misfit wrist or necklace accessories, or the user's own jewelry, making it the company's most versatile wearable yet.

"We designed Ray to be your most valuable accessory," Tim Golnik, Misfit's VP of product and design, said in a press release. "Ray's design distills the essential performance of our wearables and opens up a world of style possibilities."

Users can opt to wear the activity tracker on their wrist during a workout, and hang it from a chain as necklace using the hidden spring bars for nighttime wear to serve as a customized fashion piece while still tracking health and fitness data.

The Mistfit Ray is equipped with a 3-axis accelerometer that tracks steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled, and sleep, and is water-resistant in up to 50 meters of water. The wearable has a single multicolor LED eye and a vibration motor that provides feedback, text and call notifications and acts as a silent alarm.

The fitness and sleep tracker's replaceable battery does not requiring charging, and lasts up to six months.

Along with acting as a fashion accessory, Misfit Ray can also be used as a remote. It's compatible with Misfit Link, the company's software to enable the wearable to become a remote to change music, turn on the lights, take selfies and communicate with friends with just a few taps.

The Misfit Ray comes in rose gold and carbon black options, and is available for preorder on the company's website. The wearable will be released in the spring of 2016 and starts at $99.99.
