Sure, the big news on the Galaxy Gear S2 front was the wearable's upcoming ability to work with iOS, but the smartwatch also got two new versions for users looking to class up their wrists a bit.

Sure, the company wasn't quite as blunt as Huawei with its Jewel and Elegant models, but Samsung's clearly looking to appeal to potential smartwatch buyers who are search for something a bit high-end.

As with those new Huawei watches, I was a bit underwhelmed. Short of going full-on Sony Wena, there's seems to be really only so much you can do when it comes to making a smartwatch fit in with the rest of your bling. After all, like your smartwatch, the device is like 90-percent screen. Naturally, the company also issued some fancy looking watch faces to help users pass the device off as the real thing.

The wearables maintain pretty much the same functionality as the standard Gear S2, including the clever rotating bezel for scrolling through content cards - though now those bezels come in platinum and rose gold.
