BLU Products is expanding its lineup of devices to now include two new midrange smartphones, the Vivo 5 and Vivo XL, which were introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Thursday, Jan. 7.

Even though its name suggests it's bigger, the Vivo XL has the same 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display as the Vivo 5. The midrange smartphone is also powered by the 13 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, both devices will soon be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The device has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage with a microSD slot, and as the same 3,150 mAh battery and camera specs.

As far as design goes, the finish on the Vivo XL was inspired by liquid metal. As a result, it sports a mirror-like finish with a fine pattern detail to give it a more premium feel.

The BLU Vivo XL comes in Liquid Gold, Chrome Silver, Midnight Blue and Rose Gold, and goes on sale this month for $149.99 on Amazon and Bestbuy.com
