Are there any popular PlayStation 4 games you just never got around to playing? Maybe you were waiting for a price drop, or got caught up in gameplay with other titles and ended up skipping some of the biggest games of the past few years.

Now, though, is your chance to grab many of those games at a deep discount: Sony announced its PlayStation Essentials sale, which includes a lot of best-selling titles at great prices, up to 75 percent off.

For example, you can download the Dragon Age: Inquisition Deluxe Edition for the PS4 for just $17.50. Or nab the entire Mass Effect trilogy for the PS3 for a low $12. Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag (PS4) is just $17.99. Or go way back and relive the PSOne's Xenogears on the PS3 for just $4. PS Vita deals include the classic PSOne game Parasite Eve for $1.99 and Rayman Origins for $9.45.

The sale includes over 100 titles, so it's probably a good idea to browse around and see what's on offer: more than likely, gamers will find a good deal on something they haven't played yet or titles they'd like to replay.

The PlayStation Essentials sale also includes movies, such as Interstellar for $7.99, Terminator Genisys for $3.99 and Transformers, Tropic Thunder, Gladiator and more for $2.99.

For those who subscribe to PlayStation Plus, the deals are even better: up to 80 percent off. Plus, subscribers can also get Dragon Age Origins on the PS3 for free this month, as well as Hardware: Rivals, Fandango Remastered, Nihilumbra, and Medal of Honor Warfighter.

Finally, games bought through the PlayStation Essentials sale nab three times the points for members of Sony's rewards program. Players in that program can earn points and use them to purchase consoles, games and Plus memberships, as well as Sony products, movies and music. Sony also allows members to use their points to bid on special collectibles and experiences.

The PlayStation Essentials sale ends on Jan. 18, so players have less than a week to get some good deals. Visit the PlayStation Store for more details.
