The Xbox One is getting another wave of new features and improvements in February after the console's massive dashboard overhaul in November, and with it comes the return of a number of sorely missed features.

One of the biggest re-additions is a gamerscore leaderboard. Those who played on Xbox One under the old dashboard will remember a prominent, last 30 days gamerscore leaderboard that appeared next to the Friend's list. The leaderboard is returning next month, but will now be relegated to the "Achievement" tab of your profile.

Also making a comeback is the much needed ability to hide items on the "Ready-to-Install" list. If your list is anything like mine, it's likely filled with game trials and betas that clutter your list of playable games. The feature came included in the old interface, but was lost in translation during the change to the new dashboard. The February update will right that wrong, allowing you to hide content you aren't interested in installing again any time soon.

In terms of new features, players will soon be able to see who is in a party before clicking join, a frequently requested feature Microsoft is formally adding. Also coming in the February update is the ability to easily join the Twitch streams of friends, improvements to suggested friends and trending topics, and a new, dedicated Avatar store (for those who still use their Avatar).

Players in the preview program will be able to enjoy the update starting today, with the full release of the update coming sometime in February. You can read more details about the new additions coming in the update on Xbox Wire.
