The Thieve's Guild is one of the most prominent factions in The Elder Scrolls franchise, beloved by many. Though the group didn't make their way into the core game of Elder Scrolls Online like many factions did, players will have the opportunity to become a professional sneaker in the upcoming Thieves Guild DLC.

Bethesda has released a new trailer highlighting the kind of activities Thieves Guild members can expect to participate in. Whether it's being a pickpocket, hiding in barrels to stowaway on a ship or pilfering an ancient tomb, Thieves Guild members should be ready for all kinds of danger.

The DLC doesn't just add the faction though. In addition to new Thieves Guild quests, players can explore a new zone and participate in a new 12-player trial, Elder Scrolls Online's version of a raid. There will, of course, be new abilities, weapons and armor to acquire as well. Here's how Bethesda sets up the new DLC:

"The Thieves Guild of Abah's Landing, an organization of pickpockets, burglars, robbers, and thieves, is being hunted by a mercenary guard force known as the Iron Wheel. This relentless organization will stop at nothing to see the guild brought to justice for a high-stakes heist that went horribly wrong. As their newest recruit, you'll sneak along rooftops, steal from the shadows, and recover lost treasures to help to restore the guild's reputation."

No word yet on when exactly the DLC will release or how much it will cost. Elder Scrolls Online's previous piece of DLC, The Orsinium expansion, retailed for $24.99 standalone or came with a $14.99 a month subscription to the game. The Thieve's Guild DLC looks to be substantially smaller than The Orsinium, so expect a cheaper price point for those who aren't subscribers.
