New images of the Samsung Galaxy S7 have leaked, weeks ahead of its official unveiling. The photos showed the next-generation smartphone's display and front-facing camera modules.

With only a few weeks to go before Samsung's Feb. 21 press event, details of the smartphones expected to be announced have been leaking on a daily basis. Recently, we reported that key specs of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge were listed on Zauba and Geekbench.

Now, we're getting an up close look at Samsung's next flagship smartphone. GSM Arena posted new images of the front display of the Samsung Galaxy S7, wrapped in developer's attire to allow testing, while keeping its final design under wraps from prying eyes. As you can see, a sticker has covered up the Samsung logo but its home button and capacitive keys remain recognizable, matchingprevious Galaxy smartphones.

The second image shows the Galaxy S7's front-facing camera modules, complete with its internal model number of SM-G930f. The site notes that the new camera has its connector offset to one side, which is a change from the camera module used in the Galaxy S6.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to feature a 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD Super AMOLED pressure-sensitive display and will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 8890 chip or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor depending on region. It will reportedly include 4 GB of RAM, which should make Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and updated TouchWiz UI run snappy. The handset will also see the return of the microSD expansion slot, which was removed from last year's Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

The Galaxy S7's camera capabilities will consist of a 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for video chat and selfies. The smartphone is also rumored to include an on-board Iris scanner that will allow users to secure their device and unlock it by simply staring at it.

You can expect these types of leaks to intensify as we get closer to Feb, 21 and as always, we'll keep you up to date on any new details regarding the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge as they become available.
