Does your smartphone always die out on you during the day? Well, it might be a good time to trade it up for one of these handsets that's loaded with a massive battery pack.

Before getting started with the list, it should be noted that a smartphone doesn't exactly rely on batteries alone to last long, as both hardware and software optimizations play big roles in this department. In other words, some devices that have a lower capacity can stay alive longer than those that have a higher mAh mark.

At any rate, it's highly unlikely to find anyone who doesn't want a smartphone with an enormous battery. Here are seven of those handsets, ranging from easily recognizable brands to ones that aren't as well known outside of China.

Lenovo Vibe P1

Coming in with an impressive 5,000 mAh battery, the Lenovo Vibe P1 is a formidable contender in the list. To top it off, it also sports a switch on its side that allows it to go into a battery-saving mode. As a clincher, it can be used as a powerbank via a USB OTG cable, making it a healer of dead smartphones of some sort.

Lenovo P70

The Lenovo P70 is yet another worthy adversary in the competition, packing in a humungous 4,000 mAh battery. As everyone can see, it's a tad weaker compared with the previous entry, but it still deserves a mention.

Asus ZenFone Max

With a powerful 5,000 mAh battery, the Asus ZenFone Max is said to be capable of lasting two days on a single charge. It debuted at the 2015 IFA event in Berlin, and it definitely caught some eyes there.

Oppo R7 Plus

While it's not really one of the best smartphones out there, the Oppo R7 Plus does have a remarkable 4,100 mAh battery. Well, it does last pretty long, so it's better than a lot of devices on the market.

Gionee Marathon M4

The Gionee Marathon M4 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, and it can deliver the promise of a long life on one charge. It shares similar hardware specifications with the Gionee Marathon M2 and M3, where this next-generation version only had small upgrades here and there except for the battery.

Gionee Marathon M5

Now, the Gionee Marathon M5 takes a big step up compared with its predecessor, as it's fitted with a jaw-dropping 6,020 mAh battery. According to the maker, the Marathon M5 can provide 32 hours of standby time from 5 percent worth of juice because of its beefed up power-saving mode.

"The device is inbuilt with a smart power consumption system especially under Extreme mode; it can provide a standby time of up to 32 hours even if there is only 5 percent of power left," Gionee says (PDF).

Doogee HomTom HT6

Doogee is a Chinese manufacturer that aims to deliver affordable smartphones. As a result, it brought the HomTom HT6 to the table along with a whopping 6,250 mAh battery and a $139.99 price tag.

Bonus: Oukitel K10000

The Oukitel K10000 is arguably the king of the pack, topping every other model in the list with an incredible 10,000 mAh battery – yep, that's two times more than what the others are equipped with.

There you have it, seven smartphones with humungous batteries plus a surprise appearance of the beast that is the Oukitel K10000.
