A OnePlus 3 video is making rounds on the Internet, but before anyone waits with bated breath, they should know that it is just a well-made concept video.

The OnePlus 2 has been around for quite a while now, so it's only natural for the smartphone maker to get things in gear for a next-generation model. On top of that, it got a permanent price drop to $349 just recently, which more or less indicates that an upcoming flagship is going to take its place soon enough.

So far, only a couple of alleged OnePlus 3 renders have been cropping up, leaving quite a lot to the imagination. As everyone can guess, a video with any tidbit of information about the anticipated smartphone is more than enough to gain some traction.

The buzz comes from Time News, and it says that a tipster provided it with the so-called leaked footage. Why it doesn't seem to be real is because the video was published back in December 2015, yet was only freshly discovered.

In the same vein, the news website also got hold of a purported leaked image of the OnePlus 3, and this goes without saying, but it definitely looks different than the one on the video.

Going over the other rumors, the OnePlus 3 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display along with a Snapdragon 820 under the hood. It's also believed to come with either 4 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, or an impressive 5 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

The OnePlus 3's camera could be a 13-megapixel rear-facing snapper plus a 5-megapixel front shooter. There's also a possibility that it'll be loaded with a 3,500 mAh battery pack.

Based on these hardware specifications, it could somewhat live up to be the flagship killer that OnePlus has been aiming for since the company started, but nothing is sure yet.

Long story short, the OnePlus 3 will likely hit the shelves at some point, where it's rumored to roll out in summer. However, the model in the video isn't probably how it's going to turn out to be.
