Available on Steam for those who have opted in to beta, it looks like the Fallout 4 Update 1.4 consists of a treasure trove of new items that lets each player make their settlement their own — and that's only the first of the perks.

The beta's enhanced customization options promise to enable a staunch sense of creativity by letting Sole Survivors really make their settlements their own, from texture variants for both metal and wood to new signs to indicate what is exactly where. In addition to this, players can now use objects from Raider and Super Mutant encampments alike, like meat carts, totems, cages and tents. If you're feeling in a particularly artistic mood, a host of paintings are available to hang up anywhere you choose (within the parameters of the game, that is).

Even better? Update 1.4 comes with a bevy of fixes, which will purportedly iron out glitches while improving and stabilizing overall performance. Here is the full list of patch notes below.

While the beta update is available now for PC, there is no word on exactly when it will be available for PC, XBox One or PS4 — but if Inquisitr's prediction is correct, it will most likely be two or three weeks from the beta release.

As for Fallout 4 add-ons like Automatron, Wasteland Workshop and Far Harbor? Bethesda has opened enrollment for beta testing before its March release, which gamers can sign up for now.
