Samsung is expected to launch a new seven-inch budget tablet in March. Press renders for the Galaxy Tab A and Tab E have leaked, providing an up close and personal look at the slates.

Apple is reportedly planning to hold an event on March 21 to launch its new four-inch iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro. The iPhone SE will be the first new four-inch iPhone from the company since it released the iPhone 5s in September 2013. The handset is expected to include similar specs as the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, including an A9 processor, M9 motion coprocessor and 12 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash.

The new iPad Pro will retain an overall design similar to that of the iPad Air 2 but will pack in the same powerful internals as its larger 12.9-inch sibling. While Apple is focusing on the high-end of the tablet market, Samsung is reportedly planning to introduce new seven-inch budget tablets in the form of the Galaxy Tab E and Tab A 2016.

The always-reliable tipster Evleaks posted images of the Galaxy Tab A and Tab E with the following message, "From left to right: Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016 7-inch (x2), Galaxy Tab E 7.0 (x2), in black and white, respectively."

As you can see in the image above, the Galaxy Tab E and Tab A 2016 will have rather large bezels surrounding their seven-inch displays and protruding cameras on their backs. The cameras on the tablets are believed to be 5 megapixels for the rear and 2 megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies and video chatting. The slates are expected to be powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processors and include 1.5 GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Tab A and Tab E are said to include 8 GB of internal storage, a microSD expansion slot to further increase available space and pack in a large 4,000 mAh battery.

Recent reports have claimed Samsung is targeting a late March/early April launch for the tablets. The Galaxy Tab E is destined for the U.S., while the Galaxy Tab A is headed to Europe and will be priced around $180 or 169 Euro.
