The Google Store expands its smartwatch lineup with the addition of the ultra-rugged Casio Smart Outdoor Watch, as well as new Fossil Q Founder models.

With wearable technology on the rise, we now have plenty of options to choose from when looking for a smartwatch. For active individuals and adventurers, the Casio Smart Outdoor Watch (WSD-F10) might just be the best choice.

The WSD-F10 is designed with military-grade endurance for extra durability, and the smartwatch can withstand water, ice, humidity, radiation, dust, vibration, drops, shocks and excessively high or low temperatures. It has dual LCDs, and the monochrome mode can last for as much as a month on a single charge.

The Casio Smart Outdoor Watch is now available for purchase from the Google Store, sporting a hefty price tag of $499. It may not be cheap, but there's no way of mistaking this smartwatch for any other. Available color options include orange, green, red and black. Keep in mind, however, that Casio's rugged gadget is quite large and bulky, so it may not be suitable for small wrists.

The Fossil Q Founder, meanwhile, was already available in the Google Store lineup, but it now has some cool new models in tow. New additions include a model in black with rose gold, which costs $295, or a two-tone variant with black shades and a metal band, which goes up to $315. Otherwise, the price of the Fossil Q Founder on the Google Store is $275 for the brown leather model, and $295 for the stainless steel option.

In terms of compatibility, the Casio Smart Outdoor Watch works with smartphones running Android 4.3 or higher or iOS 8.2 or higher, while the Fossil Q Founder requires Android 4.4 or higher or iOS 8.2 or higher.

While the Google Store gets new smartwatch options, it also ditches old ones. The LG Watch Urbane, for instance, is no longer on sale, likely in a bid to make room for the latest offers.

More options are expected to hit the market this year, as the wearable technology trend shows no signs of dying down. Smartwatches and smart bands are increasingly gaining momentum and could soon become as ubiquitous as smartphones.
