Unboxing videos of newly released smartphones are very common but T-Mobile has taken the unboxing of the latest HTC 10 to a new level.

Unboxing of mobile phones are normally done sitting at a desk but T-Mobile is changing the trend and unboxing new smartphones at unconventional places. In late February, T-Mobile's @AskDes (the carrier's Product Expert) unboxed the Samsung Galaxy S7 underwater. Luckily, the Samsung offering is water resistant and Des was able to operate it underwater.

T-Mobile has now taken a different approach in unboxing the HTC 10. Des unboxed the HTC 10 about 10,000 feet in the air above Las Vegas. Sitting comfortably in a helicopter, Des unboxed the HTC smartphone showing the phone itself, SIM card, warranty card, other documents and the charger.

The T-Mobile product expert also took time to detail the specs of the HTC 10 smartphone. The latest device has a 5.2 inch QHD screen with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. The screen of the HTC 10 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Des highlighted that the HTC 10 has a new 12-ultrapixel camera at the back of the device and a 5-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Both the cameras have optical image stabilization (OIS) for taking better quality images in low-light conditions.

"With the world's first optically stabilized, larger aperture ƒ/1.8 lenses on both the front and rear cameras, new larger sensors, 12 million of our new generation UltraPixels (1.55µm per pixel), faster laser autofocus powering the main camera and a wide angle lens and screen flash on the front UltraSelfieTM camera, this smartphone delivers brilliantly sharp, low light and high-resolution photos whether behind or in front of the lens," says HTC.

HTC revealed that the HTC 10 will be available in two Qualcomm variants. The company announced that Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor will be present in one of the models but remained silent about the processor on the other one. The HTC 10 will have 4 GB of RAM and will be available with 32 GB internal memory and customers can increase the storage capacity for up to 2 TB with a microSD card.

A 3,000 mAh battery fuels the HTC 10. The Taiwanese company includes a 3.0 Rapid Charger with all HTC 10 smartphones. The company claims that customers can get up to 50 percent charge just within 30 minutes, which will be ideal for those who often find their smartphone out of juice.

The smartphone has full metal design and it has power button and volume rocker on one side while a microSD card slot on the other side. The handset has a 3.5 millimeter jack on the top and USC Type-C port at the bottom of the device.
