If you've been watching this presidential race, the back-and-forth personal attacks between Republican candidates Ted Cruz and Donald Trump have been the sort of material that's right out of a WWE storyline between two superstars engaged in a heated feud.

The craziest part of all is the Donald isn't shying away from his noted past with World Wrestling Entertainment, either. In fact, he's doing the opposite.

WrestlingInc.com spotted that, when one of Trump's Twitter followers reminded him that he's a WWE Hall of Famer last week, the billionaire businessman didn't shun him. Instead, he embraced it, retweeting it to the masses.

Wow. Just last month, John Cena told TMZ that he has seen this kind of trash talk before, referring to Trump and Cruz's WWE-like feud.

"It seems like at least this year around they're studying our playbook awfully hard," Cena said.

Well, there's no doubt about that. How insane is it that the guy who agreed to take part in WrestleMania 23's "Battle of The Billionaires" in 2007 — shaving Vince McMahon's head and taking the Stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin — could be in the White House 10 years later?

All that's really missing from his antic-filled campaign is to make Mr. McMahon himself his vice president. Since Trump is already publicly embracing that he's a WWE Hall of Famer, he might as well go all the way with it. During his Hall of Fame speech just three years ago, the Donald boasted about his "amazing" friendship with McMahon, having even hosted WrestleMania IV in Atlantic City, N.J., and meeting the largest man he has ever met in the late Andre the Giant.

He also bragged about the "Battle of the Billionaires" being the highest-rated pro-wrestling segment ever at the time, much like he does about him being ahead of Cruz in the polls today.

Donald Trump — he has no prior politician experience, but he is a member of the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame ... and it's seemingly a resume-builder for him.

Unreal times.
