Acer launched a new line of gaming machines in India on April 20, which includes notebooks, desktops, monitors, and projectors.

Dubbed Predator, this line comes equipped with high-end features that have been included exclusively for gaming. The products will be available through Indian online retail partners as well as offline Acer stores.

Predator Laptops

The two variants of the laptop, Acer Predator 15 and 17, are fueled by Intel's sixth generation Core i7 processors that are paired with 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX980M. Acer has included an aluminum fan and a dust defender that prevent the machines from heating up easily. The most talked-about feature would be the cooling system that allows gamers to swap the optical drive for a fan module. This swapping feature is made possible through an Acer-exclusive FrostCore technology designed by Cooler Master.

A good gaming machine needs support for high speed as online, multi-player games are currently a rage. A new technology by Acer brings Ethernet and Wi-Fi together to create seamless streaming and high speed for online games. At the same time, the Predator SoundPound provides the sound effect that is a vital part of gaming, with its four in-built speakers and two subwoofers supported by the Dolby Audio sound enhancement system.

The 15.6-inch Predator 15 comes with a 4K ultra high-definition display, while the 17.3-inch Predator 17 features a full high-definition display. The standard 16 GB RAM can be expanded up to 64 GB, and its hybrid storage system supports 1 TB SATA hard disk and 128 GB SSD.

The Windows 10-powered devices have red accented keyboards that can be lit up with four lighting options, and have four USB 3.0 ports while the USB Type C port takes care of the charging.

A complete package with gaming mouse, headphones, and backpack, the Acer Predator 15 and 17 prices start at Rs1,79,000 in India, which is roughly $2,700.

Acer Predator G3 and G6 Desktops

Both Predator G3 and G6 are powered by Intel's sixth generation Core i7-6700K processors and run on Windows 10. The 64 GB RAM is expandable up to 4TB of external storage, and a further 512 GB via SSD. Sporting an armor design, the G3 and G6 machines house "One-Punch" CPU that comes with a cooling system to prevent them from heating up during high-speed, intense gaming. The G6 includes NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 980 and supports a UHD 4K2K display.

The sound system is enhanced by Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi MB5, and the machines house three expansion slots for storage, along with a two-way air inflow system that facilitates IceTunnel cooling.

Acer Predator G series desktops display a starting price of Rs1,20,000 in India, which comes to about $1,800.

Acer Predator X34 Gsync and Z35 Monitors

The Acer Predator monitors' most prominent feature would be the 34-inch curved display created especially for gaming, which also happens to be first one in the world. Sporting an aluminum base and zero-frame design, X34 Gsync comes with NVIDIA G-sync technology and produces a 21:9 display on its ultra-wide curved screen that is supported by 2x7W speakers through a DTS Sound system. A viewing angle of 178 degrees and IPS display produce a visually enhanced gaming experience.

On the other hand, the 35-inch Z35 curved widescreen comes with a G-sync display and a VA panel that can be refreshed at a standard rate of 144 GHz, extendable up to 200 GHz. Other notable features would be display units like display-port 1.2 and HDMI 1.4a, a four-port USB 3.0 unit, and Dolby-audio-supported 9W speakers.

The Acer Predator gaming monitors range between Rs39,000 and Rs1,10,000, which comes to around $588-$1,670.

Acer Predator Z650 Projector

The Predator Z650 possesses a short-throw technology that makes a 100-inch image projection possible from a mere 1.5 meters (59 inches), supported by 1080p full HD projection. With a contrast feature of 20,000:1, the machine comes with 2x10W speakers with built-in DTS Sound. Another notable aspect would be an RGB color wheel called ColourPurity that can transform PC limitations into stereoscopic 3D projections.

The Acer Predator projector is priced at Rs1,29,000 in India, which is about $1,945.
