April Fool's Day may be well over, but that didn't stop a Fallout 4 fan from pranking social service people by calling their hotlines using the voice of one of the game's characters to report bogus Raider and Ghoul attacks. As expected, this made up for one confusing yet very hilarious situation.

A YouTube user by the name of ICEnJAM posted a video of him calling different social services to report about various emergencies. The catch is that the emergencies involve various dissidents from the world of Bethesda's popular adventure-shooter Fallout 4.

To make the calls sound even more convincing, ICEnJAM created a soundboard featuring in-game dialogues by Preston Garvey, a member of the militia group Commonwealth Minutemen and companion to Fallout 4's main playable character.

The Fallout 4 fan carefully selected some of Garvey's lines in order to string sentences that gave social service people the impression that they were talking to an actual person. The Minuteman's dialogues were delivered so smoothly and naturally sounding by his voice actor, Jon Gentry, that no one suspected that they were coming from just a soundboard on the other line.

The YouTube video does not only feature hilarious conversations with social services, he also included some well-placed images that helped make the clip even more entertaining.

The video opens with ICEnJAM getting in touch with a lady working for social services. He introduced himself as Preston Garvey and told her about a settlement being threatened by Raiders.

The woman on the other line tried to clarify what Garvey was trying to say, but he simply ignored her and proceeded to report another emergency, this time involving a pack of wolves. This only made the conversation even more confusing for the social service representative.

When she was about to patch him through their voicemail service, Garvey cut her off and told her that about something he needed to ask her. This caught the woman's attention.

"I was wondering if... that maybe you'd realize... that you could love me back," the recording said.

This seemed to irk the social service representative even further and she decided to just hang up the call.

ICEnJAM's Preston Garvey video is just one of his many comical clips that feature various aspects from Fallout 4. He also has videos of him calling different people using voices from Hitman, Mafia 2 and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim characters. You can check them all out on his YouTube channel.
