Rooster Teeth knows how to crowdfund. If that wasn't clear before, it is now, as the entertainment group's new Million Dollars, But... card game Kickstarter project reached its funding goal almost instantly.

Less than 2 minutes after the Kickstarter went live yesterday, the goal of $10,000 had been met. The project has been up for less than 24 hours, yet already has brought in more than $548,000.

"The office here was in a massive uproar of excitement and joy and disbelief at how fast it actually happened," writes the group on the project's Kickstarter page. "We want to say more later, but right now - we just wanted to thank each and every one of you for making this possible!"

The card game is based on the Rooster Teeth comedy series of the same name, where players use their imagination to determine what weird and gross scenarios they would endure for a million dollars. The example the Kickstarter page uses is "A Million Dollars, But... Every time you see a store having a sale, you poop your pants a little bit." The game comes in a stylish, luxury-looking box and features cards that mirror the simple yet effective design seen in fellow party game Cards Against Humanity.

Seeming as how the project has already been funded 50 times over, this seems like a pretty sure bet. Pledging $25 scores you the basic starter deck, while pledging $35 will also snag you the expansion set. If you're looking to go to the Rooster Teeth convention RTX, there is a $100 backer tier for that as well.

It's far from the first time Rooster Teeth has found crowdfunding success. The group perhaps best known for the Red vs. Blue machinima series has dabbled with crowdfunding before, most notably for its feature film Lazer Team.

Despite pulling in a huge amount of money so far, Million Dollars, But... is still a ways off from approaching the king of Kickstarted card games: Exploding Kittens. That project raised nearly $9 million over a 30-day period.

Now that the funding goal has been reached, expect more details from Rooster Teeth soon on when backers can expect the game to arrive.
