Sony already launched its new Xperia X Series smartphones in some European markets this month, and a wider global release, including in the U.S., seems imminent.

While the company has yet to reveal specific dates for when its Xperia X handsets will hit the United States, Sony Xperia USA now teases the smartphones in some new videos showcasing their features.

The Xperia X line currently consists of four smartphones: the Xperia X, the Xperia XA, the Xperia X Performance and the Xperia XA Ultra. The latter was the latest one to join the family and it just went up for preorder in the UK recently.

When it comes to the U.S., however, all four of the Xperia X handsets are still listed as "coming soon" on Sony's official U.S. website. A previous press release from February, meanwhile, mentioned only a vague "summer 2016" launch timeframe. At the time, only the Xperia X, XA and X Performance were official, as the XA Ultra just made its debut this month.

Sony is now teasing the three Xperia X smartphones it originally unveiled, that is the Xperia X, XA and X Performance, but we expect a teaser for the Xperia XA Ultra to drop soon as well. Considering that the new videos come from Sony's U.S. arm, it's safe to assume that a release stateside, at least for these three models, is just around the corner.

When it comes to pricing, the European prices are as follows: €600 for the Xperia X, €700 for the X Performance, and €300 for the XA model. If Sony keeps the same pricing model for the U.S. as well, the three smartphones could cost $600, $700 and $300, respectively. The Xperia XA Ultra that recently went up for preorder in the UK costs £298.98, which translates to roughly $430 based on current exchange rates, but the actual U.S. price should be lower.

It's also worth pointing out that no U.S. carrier has made any announcement regarding the Xperia X series so far, so it seems that interested customers in the U.S. will only have the option of purchasing the handsets unlocked, directly from Sony.

No further details are currently available regarding the price and release dates for the Xperia X family in the U.S., but we'll keep you up to date as soon as we learn more. In the meantime, check out the teaser videos below to get a better idea of what to expect.
