Asus has confirmed a series of smartphones including the ZenFone 3 Deluxe that will be released in the next few months. The handset maker has confirmed that the upcoming ZenFone 3 will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, but customers may also see another model with a faster processor.

The ZenFone 3 has a great design and it is made of light but strong aluminum alloy. The phone has an ultra-thin bezel that offers maximized display in a compact design. Asus says the screen-to-body ratio of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is at 79 percent.

The Deluxe version sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and RAM of up to 6 GB.

It is equipped with a 23-megapixel (f/2.0 lens) rear-facing camera featuring Sony's latest IMX318 image sensor. The camera has optical image stabilization (OIS), which will allow uses to take high-resolution and blur-free images even in low-light conditions. The phone also has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

"Coupled with an ASUS TriTech autofocus system that automatically selects 2nd generation laser, phase detection, or continuous autofocus to provide accurate and nearly instant 0.03-second focusing and subject tracking, as well as exclusive PixelMaster 3.0 technology, ZenFone 3 Deluxe captures truly stunning photos and videos," says Asus.

The Deluxe model offers a 3,000 mAh battery that offers long usage time. What's more, it features Quick Charge 3.0, which cuts down battery recharge time. It also has a fingerprint scanner located on the rear, which allows for easy and speedy unlocking of the device.

The mobile phone will come running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box.

Although, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe already acks in high-end features, the latest rumor hints that Asus is also working on a model that will come running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 SoC, which will be available only in select markets, specifically in India and the Philippines.

The processor has a 3.0 GHz clock speed, which is noticeably higher compared to the maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz offered by Snapdragon 820. Snapdragon 823 is also capable of supporting up to 8 GB of RAM.

The ZTE Axon 7 is among one of the few handsets that have been announced with 6 GB of RAM. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 6 and OnePlus 3 are some also rumored devices that may come running on 6 GB of RAM. If Asus launches a Snapdragon 823 model of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, it will give decent competition to the likes of OnePlus 3, Galaxy Note 6 and more.
