Spigen may have just jumped the gun, revealing what could be the genuine iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

To date, most of the leaked images of the smartphones in question are probably clones at best, and some sources even go so far as to make fake packaging to stir up the community. However, thanks to the phone accessory maker, a glimpse of the real deal may now be out for everyone to see.

What's interesting here is that Spigen didn't pull down the entries on the product page even after it made rounds online, implying that these weren't accidentally published or anything like that. On top of that, it even highlights the selection as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus case collection. In a word, it's saying that these pictures are what Apple has in store.

Considering that the case manufacturer likely has insider information that's out of reach for the average Joe, there's more or less a chance that the photos are indeed the highly anticipated iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

What's more, the uploaded images align with most of the reports regarding the handsets' designs, particularly how the accessories accommodate the dual camera setup of the Plus variant and the larger sensor of the base model, not to mention that the 3.5 mm headphone jack is nowhere in sight.

If nothing else, these renders are the best images of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to date.

At any rate, for those who want to get ready for the new iPhone, Spigen lists down 18 cases for the iPhone 7 and 17 for the iPhone 7 Plus, with prices for both ranging from $14.99 to $39.99. However, to be on the safe side, it's probably better not to invest in something that hasn't been officially unveiled just yet.

Before wrapping things up, it's worth pointing out that Apple is set to hold the 2016 September event on the seventh day of the month, and other than the two upcoming smartphones, the company is expected to reveal the Apple Watch 2, AirPods and the release dates for iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3 and tvOS, to name a few.
