An alleged packaging of a 32 GB iPhone 7 Plus has surfaced online, and if it's anything to go by, it has just revealed that the smartphone will go against expectations.

Behind the box, it lists down what's included. As usual, there are the Lightning to USB cable, the power adapter and the phone itself, but what's interesting here is that it says there's also a pair of AirPod Wireless Earphones. That means there could be an option to bundle the Bluetooth buds together with the device.

At this point, it should be mentioned that other "leaks" indicate that the default audio accessory is a pair of EarPods with a Lightning Connector. More than that, it says that the handset is supposedly going to come with a Lightning to Headphone Jack Adapter, taking care of the whole ruckus that the absence of a 3.5 mm connector has caused. However, the packaging this time around doesn't say anything about an adapter in the mix.

The news, including the bit about the adapter and EarPods with a Lightning Connector, comes from none other than AppleInsider, which received the images of the iPhone 7 Plus package from an anonymous source.

Of course, since this isn't anything official, it's advised to take it with the usual grain of salt, but at any rate, the chance of it turning out to be true is still out there. Well, considering that it's just the back of the box with printed text, there's a high possibility that it was faked, though.

The bottom line is that there's a possibility that the upcoming Apple-branded handset won't come with an adapter to accommodate traditional headphones out of the box, but there could be an option to get AirPod Wireless Earphones straight off the bat.

As a little refresher, the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are expected to be unveiled on Sept. 7 during Apple's huge event along with the Apple Watch 2 and many others.
