Apple takes a self-ironical approach during its newest Apple Music ad and taps into the presence of The Late Late Show host James Corden to accomplish that.

Three of Apple's executives join him in the hilarious ad, which was first broadcasted on Sunday night on ABC, during the Emmy Awards.

The 2-minute video aims to highlight the most impressive features of the Apple music streaming service, and it wants to bank on comedy to send its message across.

Watching the ad, we see an overly excited Corden with a slew of absurd ideas for an Apple Music ad. The three executives from the company, Eddy Cue, Bozoma Saint John and Jimmy Iovine, are quick to turn them down.

Corden opens the pitch with a really intriguing suggestion.

"What if I'm giving birth to Justin Bieber who's giving birth to Anthony Kiedis who's giving birth to a phone," Corden proposed.

He follows up with a series of other proposals, one more ridiculous than the other. Corden suggests that he impersonate stars from the music history, such as Slash, Bowie and the Spice Girls. He closes the celebrity queue with suggesting to act out Pharrell, who shows up briefly to reject the idea, in one of the most grumpy-cat-esque moves ever.

When Corden is not busy machine-gunning wild ideas at the executives, they manage to point out that Apple Music has some pretty interesting features. Some of these are the gigantic 40 million songs library and the "thousands of hand-picked playlists based on the music you love." The execs also say Apple Music offers offline-listening support. New users also get three months of free service to try it out.

The last idea coming from Corden is as corny as it is lame. He recommends to jump in the ocean, where he would be surrounded by 40 million apples. Iovine promptly disses the pitch and signals that the meeting is coming to an end.

The ludicrous ad lands soon after Apple has rolled out iOS 10, which brings an upgraded variant of Apple Music.

The company has an obvious soft spot for Corden as this is not the only time he has appeared in the OEM's ads.

Apple also inked an exclusive contract with the comedian for 16 episodes of Corden's Carpool Karaoke production. In the show, celebrities and singers drive around with Corden in a car and belt out some tunes.

A few days ago, Apple CEO Tim Cook also made an appearance in the Carpool Karaoke with Corden.
