Stephen Collins life is ripping apart from the seams, and there is nothing much he can do about it. The former 7th Heaven star was recorded while he was confessing some seriously sick things to his wife and therapist and as it stands right now, Collins actually played a similar role in a short film.

A movie that came out in March of this year that goes by the name Penance, saw Collins playing as a priest, a priest who was depicted as a pedophile. This is a big shock, because no one knew that the movie was in some ways based on the very life of the actor.

The film is all about seeking and giving forgiveness for sins committed, but somehow we doubt Collins will get much forgiveness from modern-day America.

Director of Penance, Jeff Wolfe, revealed his stance when it comes down to Collins. Obviously, Wolfe had no idea what the actor was doing behind hidden doors, so there was no reason not to get him involved.

"When I cast Stephen Collins, I had no idea there might be a connection between his real life and the part I asked him to play," says Wolfe in an interview with People. "I found the recent allegations particularly shocking, as my film is meant to speak to victims of abuse and the idea that the effects of abuse never really go away."

Back in April, the actor had described the short film as powerful, little did the world knew that he was living a similar life.

As it stands right now, Collins is losing everything he cares about. The 7th Heaven TV show is no longer being aired, and he was kicked out from appearing in the Ted 2 film. We understand that the cops are investigating the actor in regards to the teenager girls he allowed to fondle his junk, and could face prison time.

It is quite hard to realize that this has happened; very ironic to find out that Collins acted as a pedophile priest in his last film. We're definitely going to watch Penance just to see what happens, because, you know, this is just too good to be true.
