Japanese tech company Wacom is already building a Windows 10 tablet line under its MobileStudio Pro brand called MobileStudio Pro 13 and 16. These will purportedly include lightweight mobile computing technology that will come with a reinvented stylus and powerful creative tools.

For those wondering about Wacom, this company has actually been around for a long time. It is known in the tech and creative field as the company behind the pen technology in the Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone as well as its own brands of specialized stylus for computers and devices with pen technology support.

It has also been in the business of mobile computing even before tablets become popular. It has manufactured a product called Graphic Tablet, which did not really take off in the past because the device was notoriously clunky while sporting weak specs despite its eye-watering price.

Now, with MobileStudio Pro, Wacom is adopting a slightly different approach. There are six configurations that will come in a highly portable 13.3-inch tablet and a slightly heftier 15.6-inch variant. The tablet will begin selling for $1,499.

Although the tablets are still expensive, Wacom went all out in the specs department, outfitting both devices with technology that allows them to truly become what the company called as "mobile pen computers."

While Wacom did not disclose the processors used yet, it dropped some crumbs to underscore how powerful the tablets will be. For example, it declared that the bigger MobileStudio Pro will have an Nvidia Quadro graphics. The 13-inch variant is capable of 2.5K display, while the MobileStudio 16 is capable of 4K UHD resolution. The tablets will pack from 2 to 4 GB of RAM, according to CNET.

A Wacom tablet is, of course, incomplete without a cutting-edge stylus. The new Pro Pen 2 will ship with both devices. This stylus is being marketed for its accuracy and pressure sensitivity. Wacom underscored that it is four times better than the tablet's previous version on both of those areas.

The MobileStudio Pro tablets are aimed at graphic artists and on-the-go professional creators. The most expensive variant is also equipped with 3D camera for CAD designers.

"Our long-standing relationship with the professional creative community enabled us to develop a game-changing solution for the creative market that exceeds customer expectations and provides the best, most natural and precise creative experience imaginable," Ed Neumann, senior vice president of marketing at Wacom, said in an official statement.

MobileStudio 13 and MobileStudio 16 will begin shipping in the latter part of November.
