Apple launched the new MacBook Pro on Oct. 27, and it comes with a new Touch Bar. Although many customers are excited with the launch of the new MacBook Pro, some customers are disappointed as the latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus cannot be plugged to Apple's new offering.

Apple unveiled the most awaited iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September and the two mobile phones attracted many smartphone enthusiasts across the world. However, some fans were not happy as the company did not include a 3.5mm audio jack in the two devices. Customers have to buy an adaptor if they want to plug in a headphone to the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.

The MacBook Pro's launch was long due, but the new devices do come packed with impressive features. The new device comes with four USB ports but they are all Thunderbolt 3 or USB Type-C ports. It's worth noting that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come with a lightning to USB Type A cable, which means that the new-gen iPhones cannot be plugged to the latest MacBook Pros.

Apple devices have a huge fan base and new Apple products need no selling. However, the lack of connectivity between the two latest devices — iPhones and MacBook Pros — has disappointed many fans.

"It's clear Apple is a mess internally. No cohesion and no solid vision. It's frustrating and makes me wonder if I made a mistake getting an iPhone 7 instead of looking into android. I love iOS But I also like being able to have unified experiences," complained a redditor.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus owners now have two options if they want to connect their latest handset to the new MacBook Pros: buy a new USB-C to USB adaptor that costs $19 or buy a USB-C to lighting cable that costs $25.

Unfortunately, neither the adaptor nor the cable comes bundled with the iPhone 7 or the MacBook Pros, which means customers have to spend a bit more money and purchase them separately.

Even though many customers access their files in the cloud, there are still many people who want to connect their phones to their laptops with a physical cable for performing tasks such as managing music, apps via iTunes. These customers will be most upset to find that iPhone 7 cannot be connected to the new MacBook Pros.

USB-C is becoming a norm in the smartphone space. The inclusion of only USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports in the MacBook Pros also hints that Apple may be thinking of a shift, meaning the next-gen iPhones could come with USB-C.
