It's official: The Blue Coral Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has now been confirmed to land on U.S. shores.

Earlier this month, a leak of the Galaxy S7 edge sporting the color option previously exclusive to the discontinued Galaxy Note 7 surfaced, and it revealed a Verizon branding on the rear. At the time, that has already made it pretty clear that it's going to become available in the United States.

After that, Samsung announced the launch of the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge on Nov. 5, but it was only for Singapore. Still, that guaranteed that the smartphone in question was really in the works.

Now, Samsung U.S. has also disclosed details in the same tune, saying that the handset will possibly become available at all the major carriers in the country — AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon.

"Starting [Nov. 1], the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge will be available in selected markets around the globe. Specific availability details will be announced by each market's wireless providers and regional Samsung offices," Samsung says.

Thank The Galaxy Note 7 Fiasco

For those who don't know, Samsung had to hit the final nail on the Galaxy Note 7's coffin when not one but two recalls failed to address the whole catching-fire issue.

Since Blue Coral was limited to the phablet, that means there were no other devices sporting it back then, which proved to be one of the most popular color options.

Presumably in a bid to get more customers to stick to the brand, Samsung is rolling out the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge.

Long story short, this arguably became possible because of the kerfuffle that the Galaxy Note 7 had to go through.

What's Under The Galaxy S7 Edge's Hood Again?

As a little refresher of the Galaxy S7 edge's core specs, it houses a Snapdragon 820, 4 GB worth of RAM, 32 GB of default storage that has microSD card support of up to 256 GB and a 3,600 mAh battery.

The curved display measures at 5.5 inches and pushes out 1,440 x 2,560 pixels, and it's topped off with a Gorilla Glass 4.

Out of the box, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and that shouldn't come as much of a surprise since Samsung isn't quite there yet to load it with Android 7.0 Nougat straight off the bat.

Last but not least, it boasts an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.

Boiling Things Down

The Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge will soon become widespread starting on Nov. 1, but it's still not clear exactly when it'll become available in the United States.

At any rate, it's coming soon, and that's good news for everyone who wants to get ahold of it.
