November is finally here and with it the holiday season. That's reason enough to celebrate, but you'll also want to give thanks to all of the new games, apps, shows and music being added to the Google Play Store this month.
But before we get into what's coming in the weeks ahead, let's first look back at what was hot last month. Star Trek Beyond moved into the number one spot for most downloaded films on the Google Play Store, with the new Ghostbusters claiming second place. Independence Day: Resurgence, X-Men: Apocalypse and Central Intelligence also proved to be popular.
When it comes to television, the first two episodes of The Walking Dead's seventh season appear to have blown the rest of the competition out of the water. Star Wars Rebels season three, The Flash season three, Game of Thrones season six and American Horror Story season six take the remaining four spots on the top five.
On the music charts, The Chainsmokers hit single "Closer" dominated, while "Starboy" from The Weekend, "Heathens" by Twenty-One Pilots, "Let Me Love You" by DJ Snake and another Chainsmokers song, "Don't Let Me Down", round out the rest of the top music charts.
In the realm of games, popular YouTuber PewDiePie's new game, the appropriately titled PewDiePie's Tuber Simulator, seems to have found an audience. Fifa Mobile from EA also proved to be popular.
