Sprint is expected to officially announce the HTC Bolt on Nov. 11. A series of internal training slides from the carrier have leaked and reveal some new details in terms of specs and features of the smartphone.

HTC is planning to release a new 5.5-inch smartphone that will be exclusively offered by Sprint in the United States. The HTC Bolt is expected to launch globally as the HTC 10 Evo and likely sold as an unlocked smartphone through HTC's online store. The handset is also one of the first smartphones to ship with Google's latest version of Android, Android 7.0 Nougat.

TechnoBuffalo has received internal training manuals for Sprint's upcoming HTC Bolt. The manual reveals several of the HTC Bolt's features, which include an IP57 water-resistant case, Amazon Assistant in place of Google Assistant and more.

The HTC Bolt features a design similar to that of the HTC 10, which means a premium unibody metal case with a polished beveled edge on the back and a fingerprint scanner embedded into the physical home button on the front of the device. While the HTC 10 comes equipped with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, the Bolt will use a larger 5.5-inch screen with the same 2,560 x 1,440 resolution.

HTC Bolt World-Class Camera

Reports previously claimed the Sprint HTC Bolt would use an 18-megapixel rear camera, but Sprint's training manual shows the new smartphone will actually boast a 16-megapixel rear camera with a low light-friendly f/2.0 aperture, optical image stabilization, simplified controls, professional features and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The 16-megapixel rear camera on the HTC Bolt will support recording 4K video, 24-bit Hi-Res audio, providing exceptional video and superior sound.

HTC Bolt Audio And Battery Capabilities

Like Apple with its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, HTC has decided to remove the standard 3.5mm headphone port on the Bolt. The Sprint training manual says that the HTC Bolt will feature High Resolution Audio with 24-bit audio processing and best-in-class headphone amp. The internal training slides show the HTC Bolt will ship with what the company claims are the "world's first adaptive earphones" and uses "HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio with fuss-free auto measurement and calibration to adapt to your ears."

The headphones will plug into the USB Type-C port located on the bottom of the smartphone, which will also be used for charging and data transfer. Speaking of charging, the Sprint training material confirms the HTC Bolt will pack in a 3,200 mAh non-removable battery, which will provide up to 20 hours of talk time. It includes quick charge capabilities - 30 minutes of charging will provide enough power to last users a full day.

Sprint is widely expected to launch the HTC Bolt on Friday, Nov. 11 and begin taking preorders for the smartphone through its online store. Once we hear any concrete details, we'll report back to you.
