It's been a long wait, but fans can now finally breathe a sigh of relief as Universal has released the official name of the upcoming Fast and Furious film. Many fans expected the title to be called Fast and Furious 7, but that is not the case, as it will be called Furious 7 instead.

Universal made the big announcement on Facebook and later showcased a new poster and video clip of the film.

"Because of our fans, our saga has grown bigger and better with every chapter," said Universal in a Facebook post. "In just 7 days, we will reveal the first trailer for our next installment - FURIOUS 7 - at The Road to Furious 7: Trailer Launch Event at Universal Studios in Los Angeles!"

Furious 7 should have been released this year, but the death of Paul Walker, one of the main faces of the franchise, caused production to come to a halt as actors, friends, family, and fans needed time to grieve. Furthermore, the script needed to be rewritten in places to give Walker a proper send-off.

We understand that Paul Walker did not get the chance to finish shooting his scenes and that his younger brother came in as a body double to get the job done. Universal will use Walker's brother along with 3D graphical animation to give fans the impression that who they are seeing on screen is actually Walker.

The studio will also use certain audio to recreate Walker's voice.

Fans who are waiting for a trailer should be glad to know that Universal is aiming to release the first trailer of Furious 7 in seven days. We have no idea exactly what the trailer will consist of, but we have a feeling it will be filled with fast cars and impossible stunts, the very things that made the franchise exciting in the first place.

We've also come to understand that fans have the option of sending videos via Instagram to the stars of the movie with questions regarding the film. We're guessing many are going to ask questions about Paul Walker, and that is totally fine.

Furious 7 is expected to be released in theaters come April 3, 2015.
