Multiple reports claim that Apple is planning to release a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 in the coming months. A concept video takes a look at what the tablet might look like and takes major inspiration from the iPhone 7 Plus.

Apple Launches Some New Hardware in 2017

Apple refreshed its iPhone lineup last September with the release of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus while also launching a new product with the company's wireless AirPods, which remain completely sold out since the headphones went on sale in late December. It also gave Mac fans an update with the launch of new MacBook Pro models with a new TouchBar OLED display. The next refresh expected from the company will be to its iPad lineup.

New 10.5-Inch iPad Pro, 12.9-inch iPad Pro, And Affordable 9.7-inch iPad On The Way

Apple is widely expected to release three new iPads in 2017. The tablets will supposedly be an update to last year's 12.9-inch iPad Pro, a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and an affordable 9.7-inch iPad. The new iPad Pros are expected to be powered by an updated powerful Apple A10X processor, 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM, and improved rear cameras.

While it's unclear what the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 will look like, a designer has created a concept video based on reported specs and features found in the iPhone 7 Plus.

New iPad Pro Concept Video Shows Off iPhone 7 Plus-Inspired Design And Features

As you can see in the video below, the first major feature to be presented is that the iPad Pro will ship with the same dual rear camera first introduced with the iPhone 7 Plus, with many reports claiming the feature is the number 1 reason why many consumers are choosing the larger 5.5-inch phablet over the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 7, which uses a single camera. The camera will be a 12-megapixel shooter and support 4K video recording.

The design of the new iPad Pro takes major inspiration from the iPhone 7 Plus, including available color options and some new ones, including Wine and White, in addition to Gold, Rose Gold, Black, and Jet Black.

Apple Pencil 2

Besides launching three new iPads, Apple is also expected to update its Apple Pencil with an Apple Pencil 2. The stylus is expected to feature a magnetic system that will allow the accessory to attach directly to the iPad Pros. Reports have also suggested Apple may add a new sensor to the Apple Pencil 2 that will allow the top of the device to act as an eraser and new nibs with built in sensors that users can easily add to the stylus.

Apple is expected to launch the three new iPads in the coming months, and we'll be sure to keep you posted on any new information. Check out the video below to see an idea of what the tablet may look like.
