When you think of the average video game player, your blue-haired, bespectacled, lovely old grandmother doesn't usually come to mind. No, video games seem to be a hobby of the young, or at least not generally of the elderly.

But maybe that's because video game companies just aren't coming up with the right kind of games to attract more mature players. If there were video games available whose storylines involved saving the world from evil villains that wanted to take away Medicare benefits, the early bird special at Denny's or remove Wheel of Fortune from syndication, senior citizens would probably be the No.1 consumers of video games, just sayin'.

Seeing the potential in this untapped market, @Midnight host Chris Hardwick invited all of Twitter to suggest video game titles that old folks would love to get their hands on using the hashtag "#ElderlyVideoGames," which was trending on Twitter this morning. Tweeps came up with some punny, awkward and Bea Arthur-themed tweets all in the name of poking some good-natured fun at our beloved older Americans. Take a look at the best below, and try to pretend you don't want to play these games, too.
