Facebook is helping users spread the love with their family and friends this Valentine's Day.

In celebration of the holiday, Facebook is launching Valentine's Day cards that can be shared to a user's Timeline or sent to a friend.

While Facebook might not be the ideal platform when looking for love (we've all seen Catfish), it is the place to share major life events like an engagement or marriage. It is also the platform for staying connected to love ones.

And now users can make sure they tell their best friends and family just how much they appreciate them in their lives by making them smile with a virtual Valentine.

Starting on Feb. 13, Facebook will wish all its users a Happy Valentine's Day with a message at the top of their News Feed.

Users can click "Browse" to look through a series of custom-designed cards designed by artists and illustrators from New York and London. These include things like two ice creams hugging, a heart in an envelope, and more.

The user then taps on "Share" to post the Valentine's Day card to their Timeline or to a friend's. The card acts just like a picture, so the user can type a message and tag other people.

Besides sharing cards, there are other ways to use Facebook this Valentine's Day. This includes using Events to find a local party for the singles or for a fun concert or show for date night.

Don't forget that Facebook launched a standalone app for Events for easily finding things to do when on-the-go.

Users can also use Recommendations to ask suggestions for a new restaurant, interesting gift shop, or activity nearby.

With this feature, users will be able to see on a map all the suggested places, with the ability to click on a spot to bring up its Page and read more about its product, services and reviews.

Another way to send family and friends loving messages is by using the countless keyboard extensions in iMessage. For example, Dunkin' Donuts is allowing users to also send custom Valentine's Day cards with donut-themed stickers in iMessage.

There are also sticker packs like Disney Stickers: Love, All You Need is LOVE, and more.

While these are for iOS text messages, don't forget that Facebook Messenger users can also send love-related GIFs and stickers in the app.
