The next Avengers film will not be out until 2018, but if you are itching for a quick fix, then this first-look video might do it for you.

Marvel teased the fandom with a trailer showing some behind-the-scenes footage from its studio in Pinewood, Atlanta. The video features the shoot of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel's upcoming Avengers film. In the movie, the Avengers join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to confront the threat of nemesis Thanos as he collects the "Infinity Stones" to give him total dominion over the galaxy.

The movie is scheduled for a worldwide release on May 4, 2018.

The Avengers And Guardians Assemble For A Shoot

The trailer opens with the voice of the "The Collector" describing the Infinity Stones, six immensely powerful gems that can give their wielder control over the universe.

"Before Creation itself, there were six singularities ... forged into Infinity Stones," says the voice.

The video then shows the set used for the filming of the movie. We see interviews with some of the actors such as Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), and Tom Holland (Spider-Man).

This is the first reveal for what every fan knows - and expects - about the movie: superheroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe assembling together in one surely blockbuster movie. This video officially kicks off the year-long wait for the much-anticipated sequel.

"Day one of what promises to be a year of fun-filled lensing," says Downey, who plays Tony Stark aka Iron Man.

A 'Culmination' Of The Series

Also featured in the trailer is Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios. He talks about the building up of the cinematic universe and how "things relate across movies and across years."

"Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe," Feige says. He calls the project an "unprecedented culmination" of interlinked films, something that has "never been done before."

Fans of the MCU know that every movie released leads to this culmination. The first movie was Iron Man, which was released in 2008, and the most recent one will be the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

"We know they're going to face Thanos; we've been setting that up since Avengers 1," Feige adds.

The trailer also shows directors Joe and Anthony Russo, and writer Christopher Markus.

Collecting The Infinity Stones

The Infinity Stones are the main plot driver of the entire series. These have been featured in the various movies across the MCU. Thanos seeks to amass these stones in his "Infinity Gauntlet" to gain power over the universe. Each of the six stones is named according to the power it wields. The Infinity Stones are Space, Mind, Reality, Power, Time, and Soul.
