Samsung's Galaxy Tab S2 has gone on sale in an attempt to clear off some stocks before Galaxy Tab S3 hits the markets. The Galaxy Tab S2 comes in two screen sizes - 8 inches and the larger 9.7- inch variant.

The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch model was released in July 2015 and is now available at a discount as the next-gen model readies to hit the shelves.

The successor of Galaxy Tab S2, the Galaxy Tab S3, was unveiled at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 and will become available for purchase soon.

Details Of The Sale

The 9.7-inch variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is currently on sale on eBay. The offer is valid on the 32 GB model of the Galaxy Tab S2 but one can expand the onboard memory with the help of a microSD card.

The Galaxy Tab S2 which is up for sale will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is available only in the black option.

The seller specifically mentions that the product "shows virtually no signs of use" and will come with a free one year warranty.

"This item shows virtually no signs of use. It includes the original package (which may be lightly distressed) and the original OEM accessories and book cover. We include a free 1 year warranty with every item we sell," stated QucikShip Electronics in the seller's note on eBay.

Although during the sale, the tablet is available at $279.99, down from its original price of $499, one can avail the tablet for $252 if he or she enters the code CGAMETECH10 at checkout.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Android Nougat Update?

Tech Times had reported at the end of January that there were rumors floating that both the variants of Galaxy Tab S2 will be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update very soon. Unfortunately, even after a month the tablet still awaits the Nougat update's arrival.

The rumors surfaced online after the device was spotted on Wi-Fi alliance. The listing stated that Galaxy Tab S2 was running on Android 7.0 Nougat. However, Neither Samsung nor the other U.S. carriers mentioned a date for the Android 7.0 Nougat roll out.
