It is not yet the end for treasure hunter Nathan Drake.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is following up its successful swan song with more accolades, this time with eight BAFTA Games award nominations across six categories. Uncharted 4 is the conclusion to the successful franchise featuring Nathan Drake and company.

Developer Naughty Dog already bagged several game awards for Uncharted 4, including the prestigious DICE Awards 2016 where it won four out of 10 nominations, losing to Overwatch for the Game of The Year award, which it hopes to take home this time. The BAFTA Games Awards will happen on April 6.

'Uncharted' Leads The Pack

Uncharted 4 leads the BAFTA Games Awards with eight nominations in six categories. These categories are:

• Best Game
• Artistic Achievement
• Audio Achievement
• Music
• Narrative
• Performer (three nominations)

Three of Uncharted 4's lead voice actors have been nominated. They are Nolan North (voice of Nathan Drake), Troy Baker (Sam Drake), and Emily Rose (Elena Fisher).

The most important award is Best Game, which is given to the title that stood out the most during the year. Uncharted 4 shares the nomination with a diverse cast of games: wilderness adventure Firewatch, indie platformer Inside, online shooter Overwatch, farm simulator Stardew Valley, and first-person shooter Titanfall 2. Last year's big winner was Fallout 4, the post-apocalypse sandbox shooter from Bethesda.

On a related note, there is a category called Best British Game, which is of course given to UK-made games. This year's nominees are Batman: Arkham VR, racing game Forza Horizon 3, space sandbox No Man's Sky, Overcooked, theme park simulator Planet Coaster, and mystery adventure Virginia.

Inside, the indie platformer that made waves for its unique gameplay and visuals, comes second with seven nominations. Other multiple nominees are Overwatch, Overcooked, The Witness, The Last Guardian, and Firewatch.

'Uncharted 4': The Last Title?

This could be the last chance for Uncharted 4 to haul in awards. Naughty Dog confirmed that it will be the last title in the series - for series mainstay Nathan Drake, at least.

During the Playstation Experience in 2016, Naughty Dog revealed Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, a spin-off title featuring fan favorite Chloe Frazier and Uncharted 4 antagonist, Nadine Ross. The focus will shift to Chloe as she hunts the Indian artifact known as the Tusk of Ganesh, enlisting the help of Nadine. The story takes place a year after Uncharted 4. There is no confirmed release date yet.

"I would say that Naughty Dog doing an Uncharted after this is unlikely. I would never say never, but we've got The Last of Us Part 2 on our plates and there's so much other stuff that [we want to explore]," said co-president Evan Wells in an exclusive interview with Game Informer.
