Bethesda announced that Fallout 4, the popular post-apocalyptic RPG that launched in November 2015, will finally get a Game of the Year edition.

In addition to the Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, the publisher also announced that there will soon be more Pip-Boys in the market, giving players who want the elusive accessory another chance at acquiring one.

Fallout 4: Game Of The Year Edition Details

In its official announcement, Bethesda revealed that the Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition will launch on Sept. 26 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with a price tag of $60.

The Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition contains the main game and all six expansions, namely Nuka-World, Vault-Tec Workshop, Contraptions Workshop, Far Harbor, Wasteland Workshop, and Automatron.

All the patches that Bethesda has released over the almost two years since the original release of Fallout 4 will also be included in the Game of the Year Edition, such as the high-resolution texture pack that was launched for the PC In February, Survival Mode, and access to mods.

Fallout 4 won more than 200 "Best Of" awards, including the 2016 BAFTA and the 2016 D.I.C.E. Game of the Year. It took a while before Bethesda released a Game of the Year edition for the RPG, but it is finally on its way.

Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition Returns

The unveiling of the Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition is accompanied by Bethesda's announcement of a plan to release a limited number of Pip-Boys into the market, through the Fallout 4: G.O.T.Y. Pip-Boy Edition.

At E3 2015, Bethesda revealed that there will be working Pip-Boys packaged with a special edition of Fallout 4. The Pip-Boy, a wearable wrist accessory that mimics the Pip-Boy used in Fallout 4 and transforms a smartphone to a second screen for the game, turned out to be a very popular item, with stocks of the $120 Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition selling out in retailers as soon as they arrive. The popularity of the accessory even pushed Bethesda to release an updated Pip-Boy with Bluetooth that costs $350.

Gamers will once again have a chance to purchase the original Pip-Boy through the Fallout 4: G.O.T.Y. Pip-Boy Edition, which will come with all the contents of the Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition but with the wrist accessory added as a bonus.

The Fallout 4: G.O.T.Y. Pip-Boy Edition will be sold for $100. It will also be released on Sept. 26, but only in North America and at select retailers.
