NBA 2K18 receives update 1.07 to address some of the bugs and improve the overall gameplay. It also fixes Michael Jordan's tongue glitch and more.

Before the latest game update dropped, players have reported several problems with in-game elements. Reports include issues like the game would freeze after a game, incorrect in-game currency displayed, and others.

Lonzo Ball Character Model Updated

One of the notable changes made in the update reflects the most recent hairstyle of Lonzo Ball from the Los Angeles Lakers. The character model for Ball now sports his new look within the game.

Some fans previously speculated that Ball's dramatic haircut was due to his inconsistent performance at the start of the season. However, he reportedly denied that his new looks had anything to do with his game.

"Nah, it's just a haircut, man," Ball said in an interview.

Michael Jordan Tongue Glitch

Update 1.07 for NBA 2K18 likewise fixes another character model glitch that affected Michael Jordan's in-game avatar. An updated report confirmed that post-patch Jordan no longer suffers from the tongue problem.

A month ago, gamers who usually played using the 90s Chicago Bulls team lineup started to notice something out of place. It appears that His Airness' signature tongue out expressions had a graphical flaw. Apparently, it would sometimes clip through the character model's bottom lip.

2K probably started to notice the problem and released a patch that supposedly would have fixed it. Unfortunately, that particular update just made it worse as described in a previous article.

Appearances Fixed By Latest Patch

Players will be glad to know that the NBA 2K18 update 1.07 fixes several glitches that were not resolved by last month's patch. Michael Jordan's tongue no longer goes haywire and Lonzo Ball now sports a shorter mane just like he does in real life.

Additionally, other NBA players who have recently changed their looks will also have those changes reflected in-game.

Dec. 20 Patch details

A list of tweaks and changes included in the update 1.07 for NBA 2K18 include changes to the home court design of the Portland Trailblazers and San Antonio Spurs, an incoming custom t-shirt kiosk, and the character model updates for several players.

Another important tweak includes a fix to stop unintended freezes during the end of a MyTEAM game if the commentary has been set to Spanish. This also fixes another freeze that occurs during a Pro-Am Team Arena game when the opponent quits mid-game.

Remaining patch details can be found on 2K's official post on Facebook. The total file size for the update 1.07 on the PlayStation 4 is around 5.27 GB while the Xbox One version is currently unknown.

NBA 2K18 is available for the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
