We've all been waiting for the time when jetpacks become a reality. Just think how much easier (and cooler) life would be if you could skip all the traffic of your daily commute and fly your way to work. But when will jetpacks actually become real?

Little did we know they flew their way into the real world under our very noses. Just take a look at his unbelievable YouTube video as evidence of the impending jetpack revolution. It's, in a word, insane:

Okay, so technically the man flying around Dubai in the video below isn't using a "jetpack." He is flying a "jet-propelled wing." Yeah, yeah, same difference. It's a jetpack, and it's awesome.

If you are wondering who exactly is crazy enough to strap a jet engine to their back and take to the skies, it would be ex-Swiss fighter pilot and Guinness World Record holder Yves Rossy, who goes by the nickname Jetman. It's easy to see why. He can be seen in the video flying in formation and doing various stunts with Veres Zoltán above the deserts of Dubai. Rossy appeared on Top Gear two years ago with his jetpack when he raced against Richard Hammond's Skoda as well.

So what is this cool video for exactly? It's hard to say for sure, but XDubai (in partnership with Jetman) says "the best is yet to come" and teases even more jet-propelled wing acrobatics to come in 2015 when a second person in a jetpack appears. Count me in.
