BioMutant, a game in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, already looks awesome from the playable demo at the PC Gamer Weekender 2018.

The title, which was playable for the first time at the event, showcased its character creation and weapon customization tools that will offer players massive variety whenever they play BioMutant.

BioMutant Offers Massive Character Creation And Weapon Customization Options

Experiment 101, the developer behind BioMutant, offered the first playable BioMutant demo at the PC Gamer Weekender 2018. The studio's cofounder, Stefan Ljungqvist, also joined the event's livestream to talk about what the game will offer in terms of character creation and weapon customization.

The BioMutant character creation tool displays a hex grid and sliders that players will be able to tweak to their liking. The changes will affect both how characters look and the skills that they possess. This means that the appearance of characters will reflect the stats that players choose to focus on, as well as the skills of their character. Players will be able to increase their stats as they progress through the game, which would lead to even more combinations for characters. Characters can also wear bionic attachments and develop a range of psionic skills.

Ljungqvist also demonstrated the weapon customization tool of BioMutant, through which players can assemble over 500,000 different combinations. Players can tweak the different parts of the weapons that they craft, such as giving a gun ice bullets or giving a sword a poisonous edge.

BioMutant will also feature dynamic weather and a climate cycle, which will affect how the open world game plays out. Players will also be able to encounter and learn different fighting styles as they push forward in BioMutant, based on animal-centric varieties of traditional martial arts.

In BioMutant, players need to stop bosses located in each of the five roots who are poisoning a giant tree. The actions that players do to complete their missions will determine whether the world is saved, or if it will further deteriorate.

BioMutant Release Date

The possibilities for BioMutant are mind-numbing, and some gamers might already be hyped up for the game's release.

Excited gamers will not have to wait long though, as BioMutant is expected to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC within the year. Unfortunately, there is still no specific BioMutant launch date, but a 2018 release is better than having to wait for more than a year before getting your hands on this amazing-looking game.
