The latest OnePlus 6 rumors claim that the smartphone will offer up to 256 GB of internal storage and maintain its predecessor's 8 GB of RAM, all at half the price of the iPhone X.

Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus, previously confirmed that the OnePlus 6 release date will be sometime in the second quarter of the year. Heading into that quarter, more OnePlus 6 details are expected to be leaked and revealed.

OnePlus 6 Specs Revealed

An image uploaded on Chinese social media website Weibo allegedly revealed some of the specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 6. From the limited look, it appears that the upcoming edition will continue the smartphone's description as the "flagship killer."

According to the leaker, and as shown in a grainy image, the OnePlus 6 will have a 6.2-inch display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 845, Qualcomm's latest processor. In addition, the OnePlus 6 will retain the 8 GB of RAM found in the OnePlus 5T, with storage of up to 256 GB. This may also hint that there will be 64 GB and 128 GB versions of the smartphone.

The OnePlus 6 is also said to be coming with dual rear-facing cameras, one of which will have a 12 MP sensor and the other with a 20 MP sensor. The smartphone will also feature the company's fast-charging feature named Dash Charge.

OnePlus 6 Price: Half The iPhone X

The more interesting part of the leak, however, is the prices that were also shown in the image. It is said that the price of the OnePlus 6 will be $749, a huge jump from the $499 starting price of the OnePlus 5T. This will negate one of the smartphone's most infamous advantages compared to others in the market — its low price.

However, the image also showed that the price of the 256 GB iPhone X is $1,517. This price is wrong, as the smartphone is sold at $1,149 in the United States. This means that the price is not in U.S. dollars, but there is no match when trying other currencies.

The big takeaway, meanwhile, is that the OnePlus 6 will be half the price of the iPhone X. This would lead to an estimated price of $575 for the 256 GB model of the OnePlus 6, which would be in line with the previous price tags that OnePlus has given to its products. For comparison, the 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM model of the OnePlus 5T is cold at $559.

OnePlus has not confirmed that the leaked information is authentic. However, if true, the OnePlus 6 is already shaping up to be an even better smartphone than the OnePlus 5T.
