DC is preparing to clean its house as the comic book publisher wraps up 14 of its ongoing properties to make way for Convergence. The event will take place in April and May. The house cleaning will begin and end in March 2015.

Here's the list of series coming to an end next year:

Aquaman and the Others #11

Arkham Manor #6

Batman Eternal #52

Batwoman #40

Green Lantern: New Guardians #40

Infinity Man and the Forever People #9

Injustice: Gods Among Us - Year Three #12

Klarion #6

Red Lanterns #40

Secret Origins #11

Star-Spangled War Stories Featuring G.I. Zombie #8

Swamp Thing #40

Trinity of Sin #6

World's Finest #32

We should make it clear that DC's house cleaning doesn't mean all of these comics will be canceled. For some, it means the current storyline will come to an end, and we should know what comes next after the Convergence event. For others, the end might have a lot to do with low sales, for example, Aquaman and the Others, and Forever People.

Sadly for DC fans, writer Charles Soule, the man behind the current Swamp Thing and Red Lantern comics, is leaving DC to become an exclusive Marvel creator. This is a huge blow to DC because Swamp Thing has been one of the most consistent series for the publisher.

We are not sure if the publisher can locate a writer of his caliber any time soon, but fans should hope it happens.

On the matter of Marvel, this is a huge win for the company. We expect some of Soule's future stories for Marvel will end up on the big screen, and that is great.

Arkham Manor is another successful comic book that is coming to an end, and it has a lot to do with Marvel. You see, writer Gerry Duggan has also signed an exclusive deal with the publisher. It is clear from these happenings that DC needs to do better when it comes to locking down great writers because Marvel is not slowing down with its onslaught.

When the Convergence storyline ends in June, it would be interesting to see which comic book makes it back to store shelves.
