Could Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder be setting up a Justice League movie without Green Lantern? This is a rumor we've seen circling the Internet for quite some time, and we'd like to address it. Honestly, the rumor comes off as a pile of dog droppings, but anything is possible at this point.

The reason for this rumor is because all the major characters have been cast so far. Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

So far, not much has been said about Green Lantern apart from the announcement of his movie. Not to mention that The Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman are all rumored to have cameo roles in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but not Green Lantern.

We know that rumors are not to be believed until an official statement from the studio or an actor has been given, but you know what? Smoke doesn't appear without fire, so some of these rumors could be along the correct lines.

However, Green Lantern has always been known as a founding member of the Justice League, and from what we can tell, Warner Bros. is going down the path of the New DC 52. In these comics, the founding members are all the heroes mentioned, so we definitely expect Green Lantern to make an appearance as a founding member of the League.

For now, we believe Warner Bros. is taking its time with the character due to the first film's failure at the box office. We all know it had nothing to do with Ryan Reynolds because he did a great job. It had everything to do with the script and the direction. The studio at this point cannot afford to reboot Green Lantern, only to have it turn out to be another failure.

So far, all we know from a recent rumor is that Zack Snyder chose to work with an older Hal Jordan, who is about 45 to 55 years old. Furthermore, he is a broken soldier with a darker personality. We should also state that Oa is doomed, but we are not sure what or who is the cause.
