As a "Souls" player, it's always important to know the mechanics and gameplay of a game before diving into it. Casual gamers only play for the sake of stories, quests, and drama.

Usually, it could take them 10 to 100 hours of playing before completing the game. However, speedrunners have another business to deal with which is far from the norm of many players.

According to PCGamer, Distortion2 posted the fastest time in "Elden Ring" speedrun after clocking 30:24 on Sunday, March 13 at around 5:30 PM PT/8:30 PM ET. The speedsters have another iconic record to rejoice with.

The previous records showed that the speedrunning community is no stranger anymore to impressive streaks. Beating the game under 60 minutes has become an easy task for expert speedrunners.

Of course, it's not all pure skill and knowledge that will lead you to finish this run. It also requires some glitches that you need to utilize to successfully pull off an unbelievable feat to the eyes of many people.

Before Distortion2's 30:24 record, he previously beat the game on the same day at 33:55. He even clocked another trial at the 36th-minute mark after setting his goal to under 40 minutes.

The famous "Elden Ring" speedrunner first tried this test on March 10 as part of his daily grind towards another speedrun success. Originally, he only managed to record a 50-minute run and since then, he did not stop to experiment with the art of speedrunning in this new "Souls" game title.

'Elden Ring' Glitches You Need to Know

According to Win, speedrunners have discovered a new route to carry out the missions in the fastest way. The secret here is to obtain the Glintsone Key and from there, go to Raya Lucaria.

Upon heading to that, you will need to traverse the Sellia Crystal Tunnel and go to Volcano Manor. After landing at Roundtablehold, use teleportation once again to head to Liurnia en route to war Counselor Iji.

Based on the clip, Distortion2 encountered many checkpoints on his way and took another route for a teleporter which is situated at the Afour Belfries. This would lead you later to Crumbling Farum Azula.

The glitch allows you to teleport in important locations that will lead you to shortcuts in another region. After setting feet in Farum Azula, the last thing that you need to accomplish is to defeat the final boss gauntlet to seal the deal.

Additionally, you will be needing an Icerind Hatchet to finish your tasks quickly. This weapon is useful for taking down huge bosses thanks to its frostbite. You can do this even more efficiently using a Samurai class with the Resolve weapon skill.
