Early morning coffee is such a pain, isn't it? You either have to get everything ready the night before or wait while it brews the next morning. It's just a cup of coffee, it shouldn't have to be a hassle - it's supposed to make the mornings easier, not harder!

Of course, there are millions of people that think that way - that taking 10 minutes to make a cup of coffee is far too difficult for so early in the morning. Many people need a cup of Joe just to get going in the morning, and waiting for a fix is nigh unbearable.

Thankfully for these people, Keurig and GE are coming together to make mornings easier. For the low, low cost of $3,300, you can have your refrigerator make your coffee automatically!

It used to be a big deal that refrigerators had water and ice dispensers. They made sense: getting ice from the fridge was easier than dealing with ice cube trays, and some people like having filtered water without buying anything extra. Sure, it was a little superfluous, but it wasn't anything that seemed out of place.

However, while speaking with CNN, GE's refrigeration marketing manager Dan Goldstein revealed the newest Café series refrigerators, and spoke about requests from customers with hot and cold water dispensers:

"They asked us, 'When can we have a refrigerator that dispenses coffee or tea? In fact, two-thirds said they'd be interested in a single-serve hot beverage dispenser."

Attaching a gourmet coffee machine to something that's designed to keep its contents cold seems a little backwards. Ignoring the fact that most refrigerators cost roughly a third of Keurig's asking price, how is the coffee supposed to stay boiling hot if it's made directly next to the freezer?

To be honest, it does make sense for those that need their coffee extremely quickly and don't necessarily have the time to brew it themselves, but is the additional app really necessary? The fridge is already doing all of the work, but instead of walking over to it and pushing a button, people can do it from their phone!

It's the sort of extravagance that only those with a ridiculous amount of extra cash will bother getting...that, or there's going to be a whole bunch of coffee junkies lining up outside of GE when the Keurig fridge finally comes out.

The GE/Keurig Café series refrigerator with K-Cup brewing is due out sometime this fall.
