Harley-Davidson's electric motorcycles have been one of the most star-studded two-wheeled EVs that existed for many years. When they came out to the public, they immediately caught the attention of the enthusiasts because of their performance and features.

However, the Milwaukee-based vehicle manufacturer said that its sales decreased because of the pricing. To date, the firm took note of this and aimed to create a cheaper but high-quality set of next-gen electric motorcycles.

Now, the company has sold the Del Mar electric motorcycles anew. However, it only took 18 minutes before the limited edition sales event lasted.

Harley Davidson's Del Mar S2 electric motorcycles went completely out of stock in just 18 minutes.

According to a report by Electrek on Wednesday, May 25, Harley-Davidson immediately noticed the jump in sales for the newly-introduced Del Mar S2 electric motorcycles upon its launch.

Interestingly, it only took the company 18 minutes to sell these electric vehicles. The exclusive Launch Edition bikes appeared to be a rider's favorite at the moment.

For the price of the bikes, the base model costs $15,000 price while the Del Mar model was priced at $2,700 more than it. As of writing, Harley-Davidson has not yet revealed the exact numbers behind its sales.

Additionally, there are no extra details about the number of normal production variants that are currently placed on the pre-order list.

Harley-Davidson's sub-brand LiveWire has been successful so far when it comes to the pricing of the Del Mar vehicles. Considering that its features appear to be still lacking at the moment, we could potentially see a third model based on the similar ARROW platform.

What's Impressive About Del Mar Electric Motorcycles?

For riders who want to avoid carrying a heavy motorcycle on the road, Del Mar is a go-to option that you need to choose for convenience. Because it's very light to use, you won't have any problem dashing on the streets using it.

However, if you want a lighter motorbike, you can opt for the upcoming third model, which is even lighter compared to Del Mar. This might quickly become a fan favorite for people who want to roam the city using e-bikes.

Soon enough, LiveWire could finally unveil the upcoming two-wheelers that will be added outside the Del Mar lineup. The flagship motorcycles could be the next big thing that Harley-Davidson will release for auto fans and customers.

Harley-Davidson Temporarily Stops Motorcycle Shipping

Last time, Reuters reported that Harley-Davidson decided to temporarily halt all the operations, including the shipping and the assembling of motorcycles.

This will run for a couple of weeks. However, the company noted that it wouldn't apply to the electric models. The reason why the vehicle maker arrived with this was because of the issue regarding the supplier parts.

At that time, Harley-Davidson suspended the production of most of its vehicles in two of its plants based in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Per Morningstar equity analyst Jaime Katz, there's no known indication about the effect of the decision on the business.
