As we become more dependent on the online world, from bank transactions to communicating with friends through social media platforms, we are also exposing more of our personal information online.

Many of us have different social media accounts as well, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Whatsapp, etc., and it's only important that we manage our passwords for each account because it would be risky if we only have one password for each one of them.

But luckily for us, there is an app that can help manage our passwords and better strengthen our online privacy, it is called "Last Pass."

LastPass' Families Option

As reported first by PCWorld, LastPass' Families option (which can manage the passwords of your family members) is available for one year for only $24.99!

At least $0.50 of your subscription purchase will be given to a charity that aids young people in need. To ensure transparency, an email will be sent to you containing a voting link for the charity.

LastPass is an all-in-one password organizer, generator, and security tool that has been mentioned in The New York Times, Mashable, The Huffington Post, and other news publications.

When you need to log in, LastPass will automatically fill in the passwords you have saved for all your active accounts. Additionally, LastPass generates lengthy, random codes for new accounts that are virtually impossible to replicate by hackers.

It even alerts you if your personal information has ever been discovered on the dark web so you can secure compromised accounts as soon as you can.

With a one-year membership to LastPass Families, you can safeguard your online activities for just $24.99. Click here to avail yourself!

Additional Tips To Protect Your Password

Hive Systems published a chart in 2020 that showed the relative strength of a password "against a brute force cracking attempt" depending on the password's length and complexity. The data was drawn on how long a hacker would take to breach your password by merely using a desktop computer with a "top-tier graphics card."

Follow these steps as well to create a strong and "unhackable" password

1. Create a strong and unique password for each account you own.

2. Strictly use a combination of upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols for your passwords.

3. Come up with easy-to-remember passphrases instead of passwords.

4. The standard minimum should be 14 characters.

5. Ensure that you never reuse passwords on multiple accounts or use one password for all accounts.

6. Don't be cliché by inputting information in your passwords already visible on your social media accounts, such as your birthday, town, and any information everyone knows.

7. A two-factor authentication is a key for protecting sensitive information.

8. Enable a secure password generator that can generate random strong passwords.

9. Avoid using commonly used passwords.

10. Using a password manager that can secure storage and generate strong passwords or complex passphrases is highly recommended.
