As per the latest news story by Tech Crunch, Snap reveals that its paid subscription service has already garnered a staggering 1 million subscribers shortly after it debuted last June.

The news outlet notes that as early as July Snap was already pocketing millions of revenue from its new subscription service, which brings hady new features to the social media platform.

Tech Crunch cites a recent report from Sensor Tower, claiming that the in-app revenue of Snap jacked up to a cool $7.3 million in the first 30 days of its new Snapchat Plus service.

It turns out that the majority of the in-app revenue of Snap actually came straight from its subscription service, which accounts for a hefty $5 million.

The data from Sensor Tower also disclosed that most Snapchat Plus users prefer to subscribe to the new paid service on a monthly basis, which retails for $3.99.

According to the latest report by XDA Developers, the latest Snapchat Plus update brings new features like Priority Story Replies and icon customization capabilities.

Snap dropped a new feature for Plus users, allowing them to enjoy "Priority Story Replies." It essentially enables paying folks to better catch the attention of Snap Stars as their replies would get prioritized compared to free users.

On top of the reply priority feature, the new update also brings a couple of eye-candy cosmetic and visual updates.

The paid subscription now allows customization of the Snapchat app icons on their phones, letting users tweak its overall look and colors.

What's more, Plus users can now replace the boring blue arrow, which indicates that a chat has already been read. It gives them the option to change it with various emojis to spice things up.

In addition, the update also refines Bitmojis by providing them with special backgrounds, including marble design, "gleaming gold," and a beach look to give it a vacation vibe.
