Some might think that The Expanse is not that good when it comes to acting, writing, and other components that make a television show a good one. But despite all of its flaws and other elements that need improvement, it still falls under one of the best shows that Amazon Prime Video offered to its subscribers.

Give The Expanse a Shot
According to ScreenRant, The Expanse is a novel adaptation written by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck with the pen name James S.A. Corey. It is set in the future (hundreds of years to be exact) when humans are already widespread not just on Earth but across the solar system.
The show featured how the production build an entire universe, literally and figuratively. The Expanse not only tackles the colonization of human kind to other parts of the universe with space traveling but it also talked about how the show affects interplanetary politics and class warfare.
Space commended the show regarding its casting since as per the report, the infinite cosmos are heavily populated by caucasian men to think that some of the shows are set in the future where people are more open-minded and carefree. The Expanse is just one of the shows who took an effort to have a diverse cast and crew, which is enough reason for the viewers to watch it.
Flaws of The Expanse
CNet listed sectors that lack improvement for this show, which might be the reason why it is not watched by some people. The report stated that The Expanse is nowhere near perfect and some might call this a "bad" series because of these reasons.
Acting is very important when it comes to a Television show, even in films. But The Expanse did not meet its standards of it as the acting comes out frequently off and makes the character's personalities flat and emotionless. Adding to the character's dullness is the dialogue and how their script was written. Some lines are very unnatural that it feels like you are really watching a show and not real life scenario.
Aside from the two, you can see that the budget of the series is very tight and low cost as the CGI comes off as "cheap" compared to other Sci-Fi shows. Other than that, The Expanse is a good show that you can enjoy watching if you will not be bothered by the mentioned flaws above.

Aside from the good storyline, The Expanse also amazes some fans with how the show can fit into other genres despite being a Sci-Fi series. It can also be a murder mystery, alien technology, and exploration, which make them stand out among the other shows that are in the same genre. Mark Serrels of CNet stated that "It's a show that's stubbornly carried by its strengths, to levels of quality it has no right attaining."
Given that some shows are better than the whole series from season one to six, The Expanse is a consistent show where you will be shocked by what happens next and how the next episodes will story tell the scenes.
