For the past few years, Ring's products have been among the most trusted and popular security cams on the market.

Consumers use Ring cameras to ensure the safety of their homes. Companies also rely on these security cams to protect their offices.

However, Ring doesn't have products for car security. With the new Ring Car Cam's arrival, this situation can change.

CES 2023: Ring Car Cam Finally Arrives!

According to Android Police's latest report, the new Ring Car Cam is different from other conventional dash cameras.

This is because it can ensure your safety while maintaining your privacy.

Ring's first security cam for cars can detect events inside or around vehicles and automatically start recording.

It can do this even when your vehicle is turned off since the security cam is connected to your car's OBD-II port.

Aside from this, you will also get a real-time alert via the Ring app to tell you if the security camera is connected to your WiFi at home.

Once the car is moving, the Ring Car Cam will fall back to LTE connectivity. But, before this happens, users are required to subscribe to the Ring Protect Go.

Ring Car Camera's Price, Other Features

Aside from the automatic recording and WiFi detection, the new Ring Car Camera allows users to speak inside their vehicles. 

Another feature you should look forward to is the new Traffic Stop function.

This will help you when a cop or other similar situations pull you over. 

To use this feature, all you need to do is say, "Alexa, record." Of course, privacy is ensured by the new Ring Car Cam. 

This security camera uses a privacy shutter that can disable the internal cam and microphone when not in use. 

The shutter will be removed when the Ring Car Camera detects an event or when the Live View is activated via the Ring app. 

When it comes to price, Ring's official website sells the new car security cam for $199.999.
