The new "League of Legends" Darkin assassin will arrive soon, as confirmed by Riot Games during its recent press conference.

As of writing, there are a total of four Darkins in the Summoner's Rift.

These are Varus (ADR), Aatrox (fighter/bruiser), and Rhaast (one of the two final forms of Kayn, which is a fighter/bruiser hero).

Now, Riot Games said that these three heroes will be joined by another Darkin hero named Naafiri.

New 'League of Legends' Darkin Assassin to Arrive?

One Esports reported that Naafiri will be the first Darkin assassin in the Summoner's Rift once she arrives.

Another interesting fact about this upcoming "League of Legends" hero is that she will be the only shirtless champion that Riot Games will release this 2023.

"Unfortunately, Naafiri is the only champion this year without a shirt," said Lead Champion Producer Lexi Gao (aka Riot Lexical).

He jokingly said that they know how much players love to see "abs" from new characters.

Gao added that they will try to work on more shirtless characters by 2024.
Of course, the appearance of Naafiri is not the only thing that "LoL" gamers are looking for.

Naafiri's Gameplay, Lore, and More! 

According to Dot Esports' latest report, the first Darkin assassin is a character from the Shurima region. 

Most of the heroes in this region have appearances to Egyptian gods or are dressed like Egyptians. 

There's a high chance that Naafiri will have the same look as Azir, Taliyah, or Sivir. But, since Rek'Sai is in the Shurima region, Naafiri could also have a more darker design. 

When it comes to gameplay, Naafiri is expected to be a mid-laner. But, she will not be an AP (Ability Power) hero. 

Instead, this Darkin character will have a dagger that deals attack-damage to her enemies. Rumors claim that Naafiri will focus more on macro plays instead of complex mechanics. 

If this is true, then she could have abilities that can provide some utility to her teammates. 

As of writing, Riot Games hasn't shared the exact skills or design of Naafiri. If you are a "LoL" player, the best thing you can do is wait for the game publisher's official announcements.  

Aside from the new Darkin assassin, Riot Games is also working on other in-game enhancements that will make the Summoner's Rift more enjoyable.

Previously, the game developer confirmed that Yuumi's rework will arrive soon. 

We also reported that Riot Games released some new "League of Legends" tank items. However, these are creating some itemization issues.
